S/V «Diabaz» is designed for performance of offshore geophysical investigations and 2D seismic surveys, engineering-geological drilling in soil to the depth of 150 m at the water depth from 10 to 100 meters, for execution of the bottom sampling, study of the soil cross-section and its characteristics using the onboard complex of devices. A vertical 1.8 х 0.6 m moon pool and drilling rig 15 m high with the capacity of 9 t are located in the center of the vessel for performance of drilling operations.
