Digital processing and interpretation of engineering-geological data

Processing and interpretation of the results of engineering surveys are carried out by specialists of the company on the basis of a modern complex of computing facilities, using processing workstations ProMAX 2D and SeisSpaice 2D/3D manufactured by HALLIBURTON (Landmak); interpretation package of seismic data and 2D seismic exploration on technology Discovery Basic Geological Interpretation (GEOGRAPHIX), KTIB company; geophysical PC workstations software Triton Perspective, CODA 2000. For creation of cartographic materials the plotters -AutoCAD, NanoCAD, ArcGIS – are used. Primary processing and preliminary interpretation are performed directly on board of the vessel in the process of data acquisition.
For information support of the engineering surveys the network is deployed in the enterprise within which archival and operational databases, graphic information system and data storage (funds of engineering-geological data) are developed.
The constant introduction of innovations contributes to improvement of the measurement technology, the quality of work and maintains high standards of data delivery and reporting content.

Several potentially dangerous objects are identified within the survey area

  1. Rock – the area is well distinguished against the surrounding reflections; it’s possibly formed by more dense rock.
  2. Washed object of artificial nature (3х3.5х1.5 meters), supposedly it’s the container with rope fragment.

The main result of the SAP was the establishment of clear border between the firm basalt and tuff conglomerates, the presence of which was assumed based on the results of sonar survey and was well tracked during the drilling.

Two objects are detected and interpreted as the wrecked ships which are potentially dangerous for marine navigation.

The bathymetric map shows an artificial object appearing to be the seabed anchor.
