The Company has a well-equipped specialized laboratory for sample testing, data acquisition and results analyzing.

A full range of physical and mechanical tests of the disturbed and undisturbed soil samples is performed in accordance with the current requirements of the Russian regulatory documents (GOST) and Western (BS and ASTM) standards.

Specialists of the engineering‐geological laboratory conduct a full range of physical-mechanical tests of the disturbed and undisturbed soil samples using modern equipment: classification tests, compression tests, direct shear tests, triaxial tests, consolidation tests, chemical analysis of water and water extracts.

Along with the testing of soils the laboratory conducts testing of hard rock: determination of strength under unrestricted compression, determination of mechanical properties by loading with spherical indentors, “Brazil” test. The laboratory also has the equipment to determine the “California bearing ratio” both in situ and in the laboratory.

All works can be performed in accordance with the requirements of the Russian (GOST) and Western (BS and ASTM) standards.
